Junying Tang

Piano & Theory Instructor

"Music learning is all about passion and discipline " 

Junying received her Master of Music in Piano Performance and Bachelor of Music in University of South Carolina, where she studied with Dr. Joseph Rackers from 2012 to 2019.

Junying has been recognized with the Steinway & Sons Top Music Teacher award for 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Junying had over 10 years of Young age and Adult student teaching experience. She specializes in Piano Pedagogy and uses distinctive approaches in teaching to help develop her students' potential skills. 

As an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Charlotte Piano Forum (CPTF), and Charlotte Music Club, Junying has led her students to participate in various musical events such as music festivals, competitions, festivals, and Royal Conservatory Exams. Her students have received excellent grades from ABRSM and RCM exams, marked as distinction.

Junying has served as an adjudicator for the National Federation Music Club festivals (NFMC) in 2021 and 2022, and she is currently judging for North Carolina Music Teachers Association (NCMTA) Piano Solo Festival State Division for the year 2023.

Junying believes music can be an excitement of life. Music learning is about passion , enthusiasm, reinforcement and self-discipline . Music learner is gifted because now music is a world language that connects everyone who enjoys it!
